Does anyone have any ideas on how to convince a five-nearly-six-week-old that 1am is not awake time? Preferably suggestions that do not involve:

    (a) swaddling (he hates it)
    (b) driving (people, I'm sleep deprived, do you really want me behind the wheel?)
    (c) the clothes dryer (is in an awkward location and not exactly viable)

I have read every book and sung every song and I'm about two steps from the liquor. I haven't decided which of us needs it more, though.

I swear, I swear, I swear, there is a post coming that has nothing to do with fic. My parents are still here; you'd think this would give me license to write up everything that's happened over the last two weeks without worry (especially as my mother keeps taking the baby and refusing to give him up), but instead, I just feel guilty for saying, "HERE, take this child so I can write!"

Ah, Jewish/Catholic guilt, how dost thou do plague me.

Anyway, I haven't seen the new Doctor Who eps, much less downloaded them (this may end up waiting for New Year's, unfortunately), and I'm sure you're all performing various gyrations on your own journals. Which I am sad to report I haven't read since...oh, December 5, or thereabouts. Apart from David Tennant-related angst, what's new with all of you?

Although, I'm sort of curious. How's everyone feeling, Doctor Who wise? Good, bad, or ugly?

Pudding Fic: There Were Three In the Bed and the Little One Said (1/1)
Title: There Were Three In the Bed and the Little One Said (1/1)
    Author: [info]azriona
    Characters: Nine, Rose, Jack
    Rating: PG

Summary: The sleeping arrangements leave much to be desired. But not for the reason you might think.

A/N: Part Two in the Pudding 'Verse. Not in any way, shape or form spoilery for recent Doctor Who episodes. This is because I wrote this last month, and since becoming a new mother two weeks ago, I haven't had time to download the new eps, much less watch them. Maybe by New Year's.

    Fic: Water Music (13/17)
    Title: Water Music
    Author: [info]azriona
    Characters: The Doctor, River Song
    Rating: PG
Spoilers: Big ones for Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead. Takes place prior to Water of Mars; if you haven’t seen it, you won’t be spoiled.
    Betas: [info]runriggers

Summary: The Doctor never expects to meet anyone in a linear fashion. How he meets River Song is slightly more non-lineal than most.

A/N: Thank you guys for your patience - I'll try to keep up regular Wednesday postings from here on out!

In lieu of story, I give you a photographic peace offering.
Hi, yes, I know, it's Wednesday. Water Music's next chapter will be a bit late today - I haven't had a chance to code it, but shall do so ASAP, and will post it either tonight or tomorrow morning. Look for the next installment in the Pudding 'Verse on Christmas Day.

For those worried about Cleo - she went out into the snow yesterday. It's her first big snow.

PLEASE TO BE GOING HOME NOW.
You know, the Maryland ICPC would do well to remember that when babies are awake at 2am because they flatly refuse to go to sleep, their mothers can come up with some really hair-brained ideas.

Seriously. All I want is for Andrew and I to go home. It's very nice here and K & J are great, and we had a blast laughing at their 17-month old daughter play in the snow this morning, but.....I want to go home. My parents have free reign in my house and I think they're about to start organizing closets. (Which, come to think of it, isn't such a bad thing anyway.)
